AASL and ALSC have partnered with Pokémon to bring Pokémon Clubs to school and public libraries. Learn more about how to bring your young patrons together and create opportunities to grow and play together!

Pokémon Club is a new program providing young players with tools to learn and develop skills through playing the Pokémon Trading Card Game and other Pokémon-themed activities. In these friendly, inclusive spaces, players can learn strategic thinking, math, and reading comprehension through their passion for Pokémon. Playing the Pokémon TCG inspires teamwork and creativity, from exciting battles to collecting cards. The Pokémon Club program encourages younger players to build lifelong friendships and hone academic abilities alongside fellow Pokémon fans.

In partnership with the American Library Association, this program will be available at public and school libraries in the US and Canada beginning October 1, 2025. Interested librarians can learn more—including how to apply for a Pokémon Club program—on the American Library Association’s website.

Through this partnership, AASL and ALSC will provide members with a Pokémon Club kit to participating libraries to run Pokémon Clubs for their communities. These kits will include materials, resources, scaffolded activities, and prizing for children ages 5-14 who are participating in these clubs.
