Professional Bio

Murray has an impressive career in marketing and promotions in the entertainment industry. He began his journey at Premiere Networks, the syndicated programming arm of iHeart Media, in 2009. In this role, he spearheaded integrated marketing and promotions for nationally syndicated programs encompassing entertainment, multi-cultural, and sports genres. Some notable programs he worked on included "After MidNite with Granger Smith," "Crook & Chase Country Countdown," "On Air With Ryan Seacrest," "American Top 40," "Delilah," "On with Mario Lopez," "Bobby Bones Show," "Elvis Duran and the Morning Show," "Steve Harvey Morning Show," "The Breakfast Club," "Way Up with Angela Yee," and various Fox Sports Radio programs.

Prior to his tenure at Premiere Networks, Murray made significant contributions at the Country Music Association (CMA). There, he held the role of overseeing marketing, international and membership activities. His achievements included launching a successful sponsorship platform for CMA, educating corporate entities and the entertainment industry on the value of using Country Music in advertising campaigns, and expanding initiatives like the "America's Sold On Country Tour" in collaboration with BrandWeek and creation of the "Marketing with Country Music Seminar" in partnership with Ad Age. His influence extended globally, with seminars presented in Canada and Australia.

Murray's leadership extended to coordinating select events and all promotions for the 2005 CMA Awards in New York City, marking the first time the CMA Awards were held outside of Nashville. Additionally, he initiated the "New From Nashville Tour," which showcased artists in Europe with media tours in London, Glasgow, and Dublin. He managed off-air promotions and marketing for both the CMA Awards and the CMA Music Festival/Fan Fair. His involvement in television promotions included NBC Daytime Stars at the CMA Music Festival and two of Wheel of Fortune's Country Stars Weeks.

Furthermore, Murray's dedication to the industry led him to serve as Chair of the Promotion Marketing Association's board of directors and on the boards of the International Entertainment Buyers Association and the T.J. Martell Foundation, raising funds for cancer research. In recognition of his global efforts to promote Country Music, he received the Leonard T. Rambeau award from the Canadian Country Music Association in 2007.

Murray is a distinguished graduate of Bradley University, holding both Bachelor's and Master's degrees. He is a published author, a sought-after speaker, and an expert in the field of strategic marketing, particularly within the realms of Country Music and entertainment marketing.
