Pocket.watch is looking for a creative and dynamic Director of Marketing.  We’re looking for an experienced professional with a passion for kids content and products with deep experience driving audience and sales growth. The ideal candidate brings proven success developing innovative marketing strategies and implementing those strategies efficiently across all customer touch points. We want someone who isn’t afraid of challenging the traditional ways of marketing and can show examples of campaigns that push the envelope. This executive should be led both by creative instinct as well as hard data with a laser focus on results.   • Develop and implement the pocket.watch brand position and execute consistency of message through all B2B and B2C channels.
  • Develop and execute the marketing strategy for new and existing pocket.watch creator partners.
  • Oversee efficient implementation of each marketing strategy – including paid media campaigns, events, digital, social and PR.
  • Work closely with the company’s sales teams; enabling them to meet their objectives by providing them with compelling marketing tools, materials and presentations.
  • Guide the day to day activities of the marketing team.
  • Work closely with product development team to create product launch strategies and seasonal sales pushes.
  • Manage marketing aspects of social media presence to create 1:1 communication with customers while collaborating with the content programming team to ensure our social media connected audience is compelled to stay connected because they love the content.
  • Manage pocket.watch’s conference presence and sponsorship opportunities.
  • Undertake continuous analysis of competitive environment and consumer trends.


Knowledge and Experience

  • 8 – 10 years of experience in senior marketing roles
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, or communications or related field
  • Experience creating and managing marketing campaigns


  • Excellent leadership, communication, and presentation skills
  • Proven ability to plan and manage budgets
  • Proficiency in scheduling and project management
  • Strong experience building and leading teams
  • Thrive in fast-paced startup environment, wearing multiple hats
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

Work Environment

  • The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions and work is performed in a business office environment.

Physical Demands

  • Must have close visual acuity to perform the primary responsibilities of this position.
  • Work is sedentary in nature and involves sitting most of the time.
