Description

We are actively seeking a Retail Development Manager for Hasbro’s Consumer Products team! 

This professional will be responsible for the development and execution of retail marketing and expansion strategies and programs to maximize overall franchise sales revenue for Amazon.  This individual will educate and motivate retail buyers to support our brand roster and maximize digital presence/sales on the Amazon site. The focus of the position is to develop strategic business plans and implementations through working with Amazon, key licensees and Hasbro Toy & Games teams to boost sales of products on their site and gain inclusion in all key Amazon initiatives. We are looking for someone who can grow opportunities in this channel with meaningful categories to gain expansion throughout the entire site. 

A day in the life as a Retail Manager for Consumer Products… Franchise First Activation Planning & Execution

  • Develop and execute retail plans and marketing campaigns for key licensees in collaboration with category and T&G teams to drive business growth
  • Cultivate direct relationships with key buyers while building Joint Business Plans with Hasbro T&G, as well as key licensees
  • Identify priorities within Amazon business and in core brands, while testing new opportunities for retail and franchise development
  • Develop go to market plans and activate against key strategies to drive retail presence and expand product footprint and reach


Amazon Channel Management & Development  

  • Create a strategy and execute on building one-stop purchase destination with multi-category availability on Amazon
  • Implement CP flagship brand stores to drive sales growth
  • Cultivate and manage day-to-day relationships with buyers and marketing teams while increasing Hasbro’s brand exposure/presence for all properties
  • Identify, pitch and secure digital retail programs to extend our brands’ reach and impressions and create incremental product placement and brand exposure opportunities
  • Craft and deliver tailored retail presentations to relevant buyers at key time periods and communicate consistently with retail partners on brand activity/performance to ensure continued retail support and to maximize in-store presence and placement
  • Develop and create key digital marketing support events on Amazon and explore new areas of growth on the site include DTC opportunities
  • Collaborate with Category Management team to ensure alignment with licensees and retailers.  Foster regular communication between all parties regarding digital initiatives including launch plans, merchandising statements, marketing and retail support, as well as any issues from a supply perspective
  • Share digital retail initiatives and key information regularly with internal departments to ensure all groups are aligned in strategy and development

Qualifications

What you’ll bring… 

  • Bachelors degree with focus in Business Administration, Marketing or other related field.  
  • 4+ years of online retail management experience in a buying, sales, business development or digital marketing role, is preferred
  • An in-depth understanding of the Consumer Products online retail landscape and customer insights
  • Firm knowledge of IP licensing business and how digital retail fits into the omni-channel purchase journey
  • Ability to act as an influencing agent while utilizing up to date retail marketing activity and trends
  • First-rate relationship building abilities with strong critical thinking and analytical skills
  • Sound organizational and communication skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Self-motivation, a sense of urgency and ability to prioritize
  • Ability to work and contribute in a fast-paced team environment 
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
