Description

  • Managing and executing paid campaigns on social media accounts, such as Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat and Twitter advertising platforms;

  • Optimizing ads and campaigns with a focus on acquisition metrics such as conversion rates, cost per acquisition (CPA), and return on ad spend (RoAS);

  • Managing maintaining, and suggesting options to optimize budget for paid social campaigns;

  • Reporting on all paid social fundraising and acquisition initiatives to measure impact and guide strategy;

  • Compiling and analyzing performance data for creative and landing pages to assess effectiveness and identify optimization opportunities;

  • Managing training, and developing a team to write, produce, execute and optimize paid social media campaigns, ensuring a consistent language, creative quality, targeting and optimization methods;

  • Developing new strategy ideas for existing and new campaigns;

  • Testing new approaches and new advertising products and placements, while also monitoring and analyzing competitors in our vertical;

  • Acting as project management liaison with creative agencies and data vendors as needed;

  • Compiling and acting upon reports from online advertising efforts related to paid advertising;

  • Staying abreast of the latest trends in online marketing, paid advertising and nonprofit technology;

  • Researching and following trends of other non-profits in best practices in online donor acquisition;

  • Liaising with other communications staff on data collection, reporting, and analysis;

  • Participating in and assisting with organizational wide efforts as needed; 

  • Providing guidance and support to the organization as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor ??s degree or equivalent work experience required;

  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience in online marketing or related field required;

  • Direct experience with performance-based media and optimization required;

  • A minimum of one (1) year of management/supervisory experience, or completion of management training required;

  • Demonstrated intensive knowledge of the Internet, online trends, and the use of the Internet for fundraising and/or social change; and familiarity with social media and paid advertising techniques;

  • Ability to lead and guide staff to meet department and organizational goals;

  • Strong knowledge of staff management practices;

  • Flexible willing to learn, and anticipates the needs of self and staff;

  • Ability to set a positive tone for employees during their day;

  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with frequent deadlines; self-motivated and proactive;

  • Ability to manage issues requiring problem resolution and conflict management with excellent interpersonal and intervention skills;

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;

  • Attention to detail and commitment to excellence, demonstrated by the delivery of quality and timely outcomes;

  • Strong interest in animal protection issues preferred;

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Internet use;

  • Basic HTML and web design experience or skills strongly desired;

  • Strong work ethic that demonstrates initiative, a focus on quality, and good judgment;

  • Experience with web analytics tools/data such as WebTrends, Omniture, and Google Analytics a plus;

  • Comfortable working autonomously and collaboratively;

  • Keen sense of strategy and project management skills preferred.
