pocket.watch is currently seeking an enthusiastic Social Media Manager.  The ideal candidate has 4+ years of page management and ad campaign experience, enjoys developing fun and engaging fan content, and has a great understanding of building an audience. COVID-19 Hiring Update: Due to COVID-19, our organization has temporarily transitioned to a work-from-home model.  As a result, all interviewing and hiring will be done remotely.  This role is expected to begin as a remote position and will transition to an in-office position when our business offices reopen

  • Plan, execute, analyze and optimize paid campaigns for account growth and activations of related products and experiences.
  • Research and analyze social media landscape, and report on key metrics and trends in order to present actionable insights.
  • Identify and communicate potential opportunities to make a market impact which will grow channel strength and/or drive consumer purchase behavior.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to conceive, develop, evangelize, and execute social media strategies.
  • Develop content guidelines, examples, and editorial calendars.
  • Work with content and design teams to create content for social initiatives, leveraging internal and sometimes external personnel.
  • Develop guidelines and strategies for engaging with consumers (including prospective partners, kids, and parents).
  • Help manage personnel and processes related to customer support.
  • Develop and implement influencer outreach programs and coordinate influencer relationships.
  • Work with management to establish KPIs.
  • Be the social media center of excellence, helping to educate and elevate proficiencies across the organization.


Knowledge and Experience

  • 4+ years of professional social media experience.
  • Proven success in driving growth across major platforms.
  • Experience in planning and executing paid social campaigns, especially to drive offline activity.
  • Strong experience collaborating with stakeholders across a small to medium sized company. 


  • Familiar with Microsoft Office, Google Suite software, and Adobe Creative Cloud.
  • Proficient in publishing and reporting tools
  • Deep knowledge of user interface and best practices (including ad placement side) for Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, and YouTube platforms.
  • Skilled in social content creation with proficiency in graphics, photo, and video editing.
  • Expertise in publishing and reporting tools.
  • Proficiency in scheduling and project management.
  • Proficiency with Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator a plus.
  • Positive “can-do” attitude.
  • Thrive in fast-paced startup environment, wearing multiple hats.
  • Excellent communication skills.

Work environment

  • The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions and work is performed in a business office environment. 

Physical demands

  • Work is sedentary in nature and involves sitting most of the time.
