This position will lead the Marketing organization’s fundraising efforts to build Brand partnerships with Companies to engage their consumers and employees to benefit Heifer International. This role will identify prospects, develop all employee engagement, cause marketing and corporate philanthropy strategies and manage new and existing business partnerships. Also responsible for managing relationships with 3rd party fundraisers and stewarding employee side relationships with GPA team.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DELIVERABLES


A. Create and grow new business opportunities to grow our fundraising efforts. (65%)   



  • Identify and cultivate corporate brand partners as part of an overall expansion strategy to raise awareness and funding for Heifer projects.

  • Develop cause marketing, philanthropy and employee engagement plans for Brand Partners that create a win-win engagement.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to identify areas of opportunity (like Virtual Reality)?? and new technologies to maximize efficiency in fundraising efforts with corporate partners.

  • Support the GPA team with cause marketing and employee engagement activities in support of key strategic relationships.

  • Network and conduct corporate prospect research, develop materials and presentations for prospect and partner meetings.

  • Research and respond to unsolicited partnership inquiries in a professional and timely manner, providing briefing overviews and directing to appropriate staff or handling yourself as necessary

  • Develop and manage a series of turnkey cause marketing programs that promote fundraising with small/medium-size businesses. Work with various internal teams to ensure materials will maximize prospecting new business opportunities. 

  • On-going monitor industry trends to maximize the Heifer program’s success

  • Prepare fundraising reports at least 3 times a year and present to cross-functional teams.

  • Manage expense and revenue budgets to meet financial targets.


B. Provide stellar stewardship and account management of secured partner programs. (20%)



  • Provide account management support for a broad range of corporate partners, assisting with reporting, stewardship and responding to requests as needed

  • Ensure timely and accurate record-keeping of correspondence and contacts in BBEC, facilitating reports as necessary

  • Oversee contracting process for new corporate partners and agency relationships

  • Develop and review cause marketing collateral and marketing materials and provide feedback to ensure materials reflect team priorities and guidelines


C. Develop, grow, and adapt strategic plans for cause marketing and employee engagement initiatives, including accountability for financial goals. (5%)



  • Meet Revenue Goal of $900,000 for FY22.

  • Develop overall fundraising plans to deliver significant growth.

  • Analyze data and results to assess the performance of the cause marketing and employee engagement programs and implement new initiatives as needed to achieve goals

  • Manage expense and revenue budgets to meet financial targets


D. Collaborate cross-functionally across the marketing organization to maximize cause marketing efforts. (5%)



  • As part of the annual planning process and throughout the year, develop marketing and fundraising plans with input from internal departments including donor services, digital teams, community leads and external agencies to maximize the program to key target audiences

  • In partnership with the IMBP team, identify and cultivate influencers as part of an overall expansion strategy, including corporations, celebrities and digital content creators.??

  • Collaborate with internal teams to identify areas of opportunity, new technologies and maximize fundraising programs.


E. May perform other job-related duties as assigned (5%)

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:



  1. Bachelor’s degree in business administration, sales, and marketing, or related field required.

  2. Minimum of five (5) years professional work experience in either sales/new business development or fundraising with corporations.

  3. Demonstrates creative thinking skills and the ability to work independently.


Preferred Requirements:



  1. Experience in a non-profit setting or at an agency serving the nonprofit sector

  2. Proven ability to create and launch new marketing platforms as well as take current programs/initiatives to new heights

  3. Experience with fundraising and donor management platforms

  4. Well-versed in general fundraising and cause marketing industry trends, best practices and emerging strategies

  2. Understanding of what constitutes a persuasive case to small and medium businesses and is well versed in the language of business
