WHAT YOU WILL DO



  • Establishes and maintains contact with clients and sales leads through field sales calls, meetings, and industry functions.

  • Creates, negotiates and fulfills corporate partnership and licensing agreements.

  • Solicits, negotiates, develops and maintains corporate relationships primarily with external entities.

  • Writes, edits and reviews a variety of materials using software tools such as MS Office Suite of Products.

  • Develops and coordinates events, promotions, advertising programs and on-site/off-site marketing activities.

  • Assures contractual obligations are met in a timely and efficient manner.

  • Oversees activities with independent discretion and judgment to meet assigned goals.

  • Assesses market trends and external needs.

  • Follows up with external entities to ensure satisfaction.

  • Prepares reports on program performance and recommends changes.


WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR


San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance Marketing team is looking for an individual who has a desire to join a conservation organization. Ideal candidate will have exceptional presentation skills using MS Office suite of products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), strong knowledge of CRM to track leads and sales results, excellent organizational skills, and has a proven track record of brand and IP licensing sales, tracking, and fulfilment.

Qualifications

JOB EXPERIENCE



  • Several years of experience in cause marketing, sponsorship sales or licensing

  • Experience in a zoo or theme park


EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS



  • Bachelor's Degree in business administration, marketing, communications, or a related field

  • Current valid California Driver’s License in good standing

  • Marketing techniques

  • Sponsorship marketing trends

  • Media metrics for radio, television and social media

  • Media buying and trading process

  • Communicate effectively (verbal and written)
