RESPONSIBILITIES


Revenue Generating & Fiscal Management



  • Identify new business opportunities for the consulting team by networking with potential clients from various industries and institutions

  • Monitor ongoing relationships and ensure client satisfaction

  • Partner with the communications department to build a library of case studies and testimonials

  • Compile and/or prepare and administer the annual budget and departmental expenses

  • Ensure compliance with donors and grant-making bodies.

  • Prepare quarterly and annual reports as required, detailing the performance of the SBC programs

  • Track Department level Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and create/prepare reports


Program Strategy



  • Cultivate vision and manage long-term planning and expansion for programs

  • Lead the implementation of Darkness to Light’s annual SBC strategy as outlined in the organization’s strategic plan

  • Develop the internal capacity to effectively implement these strategies

  • Lead efforts to evaluate new and existing programs including quantitative and qualitative data collection, analysis, monitoring, and capturing lessons learned


Consulting & Project Management



  • Advise, build relationships, and coach diverse clients to identify child protection challenges and co-create culturally relevant solutions

  • Implement SBC project activities through to project completion as needed

  • Support external project teams to complete long-term projects on a timeline

  • Conduct policy and practice assessments, including identifying key findings and making recommendations

  • Lead presentations, organize team meetings and develop high-quality client deliverables

  • Review and analyze company information through interviews, workplace shadowing, and document analyses


Supervisory & Programmatic Duties



  • Manage current team members and provide guidance on projects

  • Hire, lead, and develop assigned staff, consultants, and volunteers

  • Partner with the Curriculum team to build educational materials to launch the facilitator consultant program as proposed in the strategic plan

  • Establish individual goals and objectives for direct reports including coaching, motivation, and conducting annual reviews

  • Meet regularly with the senior leadership team and program staff to ensure all programs are operating efficiently

  • Lead development and implementation of SBC capacity strengthening strategies for program staff and vendors


Program Development



  • Oversee the continued development of our four Comprehensive Child Protection Programs for Organizational Social and Behavior Change

  • Design child protection toolkits, including the creation of new resources, the operation of the online platforms, and the creation of internal how-to guides for program facilitators

  • Manage the production of our accreditation program, the consulting lifecycle, and the consultant toolkit

Qualifications

IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS



  • Minimum of 5 years of expertise in consulting and management

  • Minimum of 2 years of professional experience with subject matter expertise in preventing or responding to abuses of power. This includes a deep understanding of any of the following areas: sexual and domestic violence; child maltreatment; spiritual abuse; diversity, inclusion, and equity; and workplace harassment and discrimination

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as public policy, public administration, nonprofit management, business, criminal justice, psychology, sociology, or law in lieu of experience

  • Experience designing and delivering technical assistance programs for organizations, units of government, or communities

  • Exceptional oral and written skills with meticulous attention to detail and the ability to convey nuanced ideas

  • Meeting and strategic planning facilitation experience rooted in human-centered design

  • Demonstrated ability to work with people from other backgrounds and experiences

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work remotely and collaboratively

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Nimble with a growth mindset and team approach

  • Willingness to travel

  • Commitment to the mission of the organization
