Events and conferences are back and we’re looking for help at The L.A. Office. We are looking for a manager-level individual that would be pivotal in our event planning, and work with other clients and sponsors throughout the year. This individual must be a self-starter with a positive personality that can manage key aspects of our events and client-facing projects.


Event Management:


Manage team planning/execution and take on individual projects in conjunction with our two annual events (the Brand Partnership Forum and Marketing Partnerships Summit):



  • Organize and direct multiple planning calendars to ensure deadlines are met

  • Internal team coordination, messaging and project management (assigning tasks, deadlines, etc.)

  • Communications with speakers and sponsors

  • Oversee attendee marketing, registration, and accommodations

  • Managing various logistics associated with the above


Client Management and Projects:


Work with the team to deliver value to partners of The L.A. Office (Members of The L.A. Office Membership Program, LastCall.news, and other client consulting projects). This individual needs a very good understanding of the promotion and partnership business and the ability to tackle the following types of projects:



  • On the client management side, the manager will build relationships with some Corporate Members (ie. entertainment companies, non-profit organizations, brands), event participants, and other partners. 

  • Membership

  • Manage day-to-day relationships with Corporate Members and event partners

  • Get to know the key people at each company and gain an understanding of their marketing needs and company initiatives

  • Create a path for each partner that introduces their initiatives to our community

  • Connect our clients, partners, and members with other potential partners and make sure that we are maximizing their relationship with our company

  • Expose member and partner initiatives to the general marketing community through our newsletters, MarketingPartnerships.com and Social Media efforts 

  • Encourage involvement in synergistic opportunities available to them

  • Event Participation (RoadShow Snapshots and Sourcebook ads)

  • Member Spotlights

Qualifications

Qualifications and Experience:



  • This is a full-time, salaried position with strong bonus potential. This could also be a part time position with a minimum of 20 hours/week.

  • Job Title and Salary are commensurate with experience. 

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 5+ years experience in promotional/partnership marketing at an entertainment company or marketing agency.

  • Experience in promotional pitching, program execution, and marketing (email and social media campaigns).


Required skills and experience:



  • A detail-oriented, organized team player with the ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize, and consolidate tasks with minimal supervision

  • Ability to set, manage and achieve goals in a fast-paced, quickly evolving environment

  • Strong communication and excellent writing/editing skills

  • Skills must include MS Office suite (Outlook, Publisher, PowerPoint, Excel). 

  • Experience in digital marketing is a plus as well as experience with Salesforce, Mailchimp, Photoshop, and Dreamweaver.
