Founded in 2002, Operation Homefront is a national nonprofit organization whose mission is to build strong, stable, and secure military families so they can thrive, not simply struggle to get by, in the communities they have worked so hard to protect. Operation Homefront is sourcing candidates for a Director, Partnership Marketing position in McLean, VA or remote.


The Director, Partnership Marketing, manages an aggressive portfolio of major corporate partners to execute agreed upon deliverables, as well as identifies, develops, and presents opportunities to secure additional revenue, such as cause marketing. In addition, this role provides direct supervision to a team of Manager(s) focused on stewarding multi-year partnerships in support of the Operation Homefront mission. This position works cross functionally (i.e. Business Development, Integrated Public Relations, Regional Teams, etc.) to support stewardship and partnership renewal efforts, including working with Human Resources to devise corporate employee engagement strategies. Additional responsibilities include donor contract renewals, revenue, and pipeline management alongside the Director of Business Development, forecasting and other relevant duties. Typical duties include:



  • Oversee and create opportunities to provide best-in-class stewardship to corporate partners. Provide project management expertise and create/maintain a system for effective tracking of partnership deliverables. Incorporate custom stewardship opportunities into the account management framework that adds value, increases opportunity and deepens and broadens the relationship with active current partners, lapsed donors, and prospects as appropriate.

  • Manage a multi-million-dollar portfolio of corporate partnerships, collaborating with the Business Development, Marketing/IPR, Programs, Regions and Human Resources to ensure all corporate partnership activations are executed with excellence.

  • Identify and create resources needed to effectively sustain and renew partnerships, including, but not limited to, brand/mission onboarding and partner toolkits.

  • Oversee the Manager(s), Partnership Marketing and the Development internship program; collaborate with HR and appropriate Development channels to hire, onboard, manage and report on current opportunities.

  • Work closely with the Business Development channel to onboard new corporate partners; provide guidance and feedback as necessary to proposals and presentations.

  • Assist with regional corporate fundraising strategies and lead or co-lead national level regional corporate partnerships.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Other Details:
General office and sedentary. Use of personal computing equipment, telephone, multi-functioning printer and calculator. Manual dexterity, ability to lift up to 10 pounds. Ability to drive a motor vehicle and travel to and from meetings, training sessions or other business-related events to include overnight travel at least 40% of the time. May be required to work after hours to include weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

Desired candidates will have:



  • Bachelor’s degree (Business or Marketing preferred)

  • 5-7 years of experience of fundraising and/or development experience.

  • Demonstrated success managing corporate partnerships, including generating revenue, account management and/or stewardship.

  • History of supervision and/or mentorship roles.

  • Strong project management skills.

  • Valid Driver’s License

  • Acceptable MVR (annual)

  • MS Office Programs

  • Research databases

  • Raiser’s Edge or other comparable software.
