American Lung Association: COVID-19 ACTION INITIATIVE

American Lung Association

The COVID-19 Action Initiative aims to end COVID-19 and defend against future respiratory virus pandemics. The initiative will work with public and private entities to increase research collaboration and develop new vaccines, detection tests and treatment therapies, expand the Association’s ongoing respiratory research program by leveraging the Airways Clinical Research Center (ACRC) Network, enhance key public health measures, and establish an advanced network to stop future respiratory virus pandemics.

Boys & Girls Clubs of America: VARIOUS OPPORTUNITIES

Boys and Girls Clubs

Boys & Girls Clubs of America have partnered with various retailers this holiday season, rallying to support the organization during this critical year. Twelve partners will donate and encourage their customers to give back now through December 31, 2020. Giving Tuesday continues to gain momentum with organizations around the world to give back on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving.

This year, BGCA has an exciting lineup of corporate partner activations: Facebook and Cricket Wireless partnership, where Cricket Wireless donates $10 for every Facebook Fundraiser started; Michaels is matching donors who make a gift to BGCA from Giving Tuesday through Year-End, pledging to match up to $100,000; Buffalo Wild Wings is encouraging customers, social media followers and employees to make a gift to BGCA on Giving Tuesday, matching their gifts up to $25,000; BGCA partnership with TikTok, piloting their donation sticker; Gap kicks off #ShareTheGapDream TikTok Challenge, where Gap will donate $10 for every video posted to TikTok with the hashtag, up to $50,000, through December 31.

Darkness to Light: NATIONAL DAY OF COURAGE

Flip the Switch

On Giving Tuesday, the National Day of Courage, we are asking individuals to courageously stand with us to end child sexual abuse. Darkness to Light’s Holiday 2020 giving campaigns are focused on courage and invite us all to consider what courage looks like in our lives and the ways we protect children.

On Giving Tuesday, Darkness to Light will be hosting a series of Instagram/Facebook live chats with survivors and celebrities to help raise funds and discuss their courageous disclosure of abuse. Join us for these conversations and courageously stand with us to raise funds to prevent child sexual abuse.

Operation Warm: WISH LIST FULFILLMENT

Operation Warm Wish List Fulfillment

Coats for Kids Wish List is up to almost 380,000 requests as of late November, which is already more than double all the requests received last year. We are looking for partners to help raise awareness of this great need and raise funds to fill every wish across the country this fall/winter. The Giving Tuesday initiative, which includes a $100k match from several of our corporate partners, encourages donors, whether individual or corporate, to double their impact! The goal is to provide 5,000 children on our Coat Wish List across the US and Canada with coats.
