The U.S. Olympics partnered with Sesame Street for the 2014 WINTER OLYMPICS. The two created educational online content, a Sesame Street family pavillion at all USOC Road to Sochi tour stops and Sesame Street Winter Games-themed children's apparel. The partnership launched at the Road to Sochi 100-Day Countdown event in Times Square on October 29, 2013. Sesame Street participated in other stops on the interactive sports tour as well, with a co-branded interactive family tent, and character appearances. The two organizations encourages children to wear their favorite furry monsters on c-branded Team USA/Sesame Street products, select styles were available at Old Navy and a portion of the sales supported U.S. Olympic and Paralympic athletes and hopefuls, as well as Sesame Workshop's global initiatives. A range of youth-oriented digital content features the Sesame Street Muppets and Team USA athletes, as well as a Games-themed "Sesame Street" episode aired in February that featured Olympic figure skating champion, Evan Lysacek.
