Warner Bros. Pictures partnered with Marriott International for the theatrical release of 42. Marriott hosted an online sweepstakes entitled "42 - The True Story of an American Legend Sweepstakes." To enter, contestants visited www.facebook.com/MarriottRewards and "liked" the Marriott Rewards fan page. Contestants then filled out an online registration form and procedeed to play the "At-Bat" Game. One daily prize winner was selected for the duration of the promotion period which included a Hollywood Movie Money promo code. One grand prize winner was selected and the prize consisted of a three-day trip for two to the screening of 42 along with hotel accommodations at a Marriott hotel, airfare, two tickets to a Warner Bros. VIp Studio tour and $1,000 spending money. The sweepstakes ran from February 25, 2013 through March 25, 2013. 42 released in theaters April 12, 2012.
