The American Cancer Society partnership with Stop and Shop began in 2012 at the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer event in Long Island where Stop and Shop served as a Flagship Sponsor. Since then, this partnership has grown exponentially encompassing 400+ stores, 5 Flagship sponsorships and more than 44,000 bottles of water handed out to Making Strides participants annually...all to support the fight against breast cancer.

Additionally, Stop and Shop stores participated in a large-scale point of sale campaign where customers can donate $1, $3, $5 or round up at register to support a cause they are about. This campaign has raised $6,366,887 over the past 10 years, and raised over $1.7 million in 2022 alone.

Stop and Shop leadership are passionate about this campaign, with a focus on providing:

  • A cause their associates are passionate about and fully embrace.
  • An opportunity to give back to the community they serve with an organization that also understands the importance of that community.
