Partnership:

Angry Birds and UNICEF

Description:

Rovio Entertainment partnered with UNICEF for an ANGRY BIRDS promotion centered around UNICEF's education work addressing equal opportunities for girls and supporting girls' technical, digital and life skills education.

The partnership consisted of an in-game campaign event. The Rovio campaign titled "Bring the Anger" encouraged ANGRY BIRDS players to pop as many pigs as they could throughout November in the mobile game ANGRY BIRDS 2. This in-game event culminated in a $100k donation from Rovio to UNICEF's Education in Emergencies fund. Players did not need to donate money to participate.
