McDonald's teamed up with 20th Century Fox for the release of James Cameron's new film, AVATAR. Marketing for the picture was set to focus on McDonald's Big Mac burger. Customers who purchased the sandwich from December 18 through January 7 were given an AVATAR 'shrill Card's The card allowed webcam users to activate McD Vision reality software to interact with actual scenes and characters from the movie. In addition, fans who participated in the Big Mac Avatar Code Breaker Countdown sweepstakes on the McDonald's Twitter page were given the opportunity to have a Big Mac lunch with the film's producer, Jon Landau, and win a private screening of AVATAR. The promotion was set to run from December 7, 2009 to December 17, 2009.
