Description:

Along with the release of its beer-battered Quarter Pound Cod Sandwich, A&W Restaurants has partnered with full-service advertising agency, Cornett, to craft a unique piece of jewelry by extracting carbon from the cremated leftovers of six A&W Quarter Pound Cod Sandwiches. The inventive technique was made possible by partnering with LifeGem, and takes a full month to pull off. Using a machine that mimics the heat and pressure under the Earth’s crust, the carbon forms into an actual diamond. 

Additionally, A&W partnered with Timeless Treasures of Kentucky to create a complete line of Cod-based jewelry. The collection consists of a charm bracelet, cufflinks, a pendant necklace, and a marbled set of teardrop Root Beer Float earrings. The jewelry was only available via a contest, with a sweepstakes that ended at midnight on Valentine's Day.
