National Wear Red Day, a holiday raising awareness for the fight against heart disease, was celebrated by Big Lots and the American Heart Association in a collaboration that raised up to $1 Million for the fight against heart disease. 

The partnership consisted of Big Lots matching donations to the American Heart Association up to $1 million. On National Wear Red Day, all donations made online to the American Heart Association's Go Red for Women movement were matched by Big Lots.
