The partnership supported the "Local Hero" program which celebrated BGCA's Youth Development Professionals.
The nationwide partnership sent BLACK LIGHTNING stars on a ten-city tour from New York to New Orleans, visiting Boys & Girls Club locations along the way.
Star Nafessa Williams visited her hometown of Philadelphia along with her co-star Marvin Jones III to meet with approximately 50 children at the Boys and Girls Club of Philadelphia. The Boys & Girls Club of Harlem received a visit from Jones as well as Cress Williams, who played the titular character on the show. The duo spent time with about 50 children as they signed books, spoke to the kids one-on-one and even joined them for a game of basketball.
The visits also included donations to that chapter of the BGCA from the CW and BLACK LIGHTNING.
