Cingular Wireless tapped into Sony Ericsson and Sony Pictures Entertainment for a national marketing campaign for the June 27th release of CHARLIE`S ANGELS: FULL THROTTLE. A Web site, www.cingular.com/charliesangels.com offered a TXT 4 Thrills sweepstakes from May 30-July 31, 2003, giving away a Maserati Spyder, featured in the movie. Consumers send a text message to ANGELS (264357) to enter. The site also gave away Sony Entertainment systems and 100 Sony Ericcson T316 mobile phones, as well as instant win prizes. Consumers could download an exclusive wireless game, Charlie`s Angels: Road Cyclone, as well as get ring tones, screensavers and logos. They could also sign up for Angel Alerts, which offered movie new and trivia. The tie-in was supported by product placement in the movie, as well as TV, print and Internet advertising.
