Description:

Spotify and Gatorade teamed up to enhance the workout experience with GATORADE AMPLIFY, a web-based application that generated personalized, insight-driven playlists to help users get more out of their exercise regimen. Working with research company The Sync Project, and using large sets of data, GATORADE AMPLIFY was able to define songs ideal for training, and allowed users to easily create a workout experience unique to them. Tracks were selected based on the ranges of five sonic attributes: “danceability,” tempo, acousticness, energy and loudness.

Users could select one of three playlist types – High-Intensity Workout, Interval Training, and The Steve Aoki Experience (an exclusive workout mix produced by DJ Steve Aoki featuring artists from Dim Mak Records) – to best suit their exercise routine. Spotify members were allowed to customize their playlist based on duration and a selection of three genres. Playlists could then be saved to a user’s library and were automatically updated on a weekly basis to prevent repetitiveness and to keep listeners engaged.
