Description:
Warner Bros. Pictures and Blockbuster teamed up to promote the theatrical release of HAPPY FEET. Support included in-store signage, displays, employee crew wear, an online sweepstakes (Race to the Movies Sweepstakes) and game and store events. In-store promotion included everything from dancing penguins to photo stations. The movie also was promoted on Blockbuster’s in-store TV network and through member newsletters and direct mail. Blockbuster stores also carried HAPPY FEET licensed merchandise, including a plush toy, games, videogame and HAPPY FEET-branded Blockbuster gift cards. Cross-promotions with other Happy Feet marketing partners such as Coca Cola were also part of the program.
