20th Century Fox and IBM partnered to promote the theatrical release of HIDDEN FIGURES. Inspired by the spirit of the film, IBM celebrated the achievements of today’s hidden figures in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (S.T.E.M.) by publishing a series in Vanity Fair titled, “Saluting a New Guard of S.T.E.M.”. The profile series spotlighted notable and diverse women who are making significant contributions in their fields, while working for expanded inclusion for the next generation and was included in an IBM microsite, along with film-related content.

An early mainframe computer provided by IBM was also prominently featured in HIDDEN FIGURES as a key tool to the plot and was used by the film’s main characters.
