Hilton and Netflix partnered to personalize streaming for Hilton guests. The promotion offered personalized Netflix streaming in Hilton’s Connected Rooms, a mobile-centric hotel room that already contained such technical innovations as lighting and temperature controls as well as a feature allowing guests to use their smartphones as room-keys.

The Hilton partnership with Netflix allowed guests staying in the Connected Rooms to log into their Netflix accounts through Hilton’s Honors mobile app or by using the TV remote’s “Netflix” button.

The promotion also gave guests without a Netflix account the option to sign up immediately in their room.
