Dreyer's and the HOME SHOPPING NETWORK (HSN) teamed up to give away a family size carton of Dreyer's and Edy's Slow Churned Light Ice Cream. Viewers had to watch the HSN each night from 8:00 p.m. to midnight ET when HSN show hosts taste-test various flavors of Dreyer's and Edy's light ice cream live on the network. At the end of the tasting, viewers were able to enter in a secret key word on hsn.com and the first 1,000 people to do so recieved a coupon for a free 1.75 quart carton of Dreyer's and Edy's light ice cream. Each night 1,000 coupons were given away. The giveaway ran from July 6 to July 31, 2005 and was open to consumers 18 and older.
