Universal Pictures and Illumination Entertainment partnered with Bolthouse Farms to promote HOP by making the bran?s baby carrots the official snack of the animated film. The promotional product was part of Bolthouse Hous?s†Eat†Em Like Junk Foo? campaign, using elements that both emulated and mocked traditional junk food advertising. Other promotional elements included traditional television and outdoor media, online and social media, and school vending. The promotion ran Q2 2011.
