Description:
InStyle Magazine partnered with Amazon for e-commerce and its annual Reader's Choice Awards. The partnership allowed the millions of women who engaged with InStyle to be inspired to buy and have direct access to automated commerce. InStyle partnered with Amazon for its October 2018 issue, which featured Amazon SmileCodes throughout the magazine’s pages. Readers using the Amazon shopping app’s SmileCode function could hover over a code on a selection of pages. The items were then immediately added to the reader’s cart. The ease of transaction was accentuated because Amazon already had the user’s information. The items for sale included beauty all-star products across InStyle’s annual Reader’s Choice Awards, with scans appearing on every page of the feature. Amazon had offers connected to each item.
