Warner Bros. teamied up with National Wildlife Federation (NWF) to celebrate the release of JACK THE GIANT SLAYER to encourage the public to make a "giant" difference for wildlife. Families and teachers were encouraged to download NWF's official movie poster, visit the official movie website to make their own trailer and play games and participate in National Wildlife Week. The celebration was all about trees. Participants were asked to join the fun by "Branching out for Wildlife" and learn about the parts of a tree, the role of trees, and how other wildlife depend on trees for survival. The organization also promoted their Be Out There campaign, reminding fans to explore the outdoors. Last but not least, the message of gardening, planting seeds and trees was conveyed via NWF's Certified Wildlife Habitat and Schoolyard Habitats programs.
