Universal Pictures and Land O'' Frost lunch meats teamed up to promote the theatrical release of LAND OF THE LOST with an instant win sweepstakes. Consumers who purchased specially-marked packages of Land O'' Frost products received a game piece. The game pieces indicated if the consumer was a Grand Prize Winner, a First Prize winner or stated "Sorry, Please Play Again." A total of 8,000,000 game pieces were available for distribution. One Grand Prize winner received a five-night trip for four to Riviera Maya near Cancun, Mexico. 2,000 First Prize winners received a LAND OF THE LOST T-shirt. The Land O'' Frost website also hosted a trailer for the film. The promotion ran from May 4 through July 6, 2009.
