Marriott partnered with Verizon Media in a promotion that focused on adapting to the new normal in 2021.

With Marriott bookings plummeting throughout 2020 as a result of the coronavirus pandemic, Marriott partnered with Verizon Media in 2021 to attract customers through a more flexible promotions strategy. Marriott worked with Verizon Media to access customers who were already travelling and drive them toward Marriott with a media strategy that emphasized the cleanliness of the chain.

With the travel landscape shifted, perhaps permanently, Marriott and Verizon's partnership was designed to adjust to the new normal of these circumstances.
