Description:

Universal Pictures and Amazon partnered for the theatrical release of MINIONS.  In a promotion that has never been seen before, the retailer has shipped customer orders in bright yellow delivery boxes with characters from the new release.  This is the first time Amazon has ever allowed a third party to brand its boxes in such entirety.  In addition to featuring Minions on the box, the boxes advertise a special Amazon URL that leads consumers to a dedicated Minion’s URL featuring all things “Minions.”  The partners used a variety of social media to increase awareness for the upcoming special packaging including saying that “minion’s will be arriving on customer’s doorsteps soon.”  The promotion period began on May 25th and lasted until July 10th, 2015.     

Minions is part of the Despicable Me film franchise.
