Electronic Arts and Mazda partnered to promote the video game release of NEED FOR SPEED: CARBON with a sweepstakes and national gaming tournament around the game. EA is launched a gaming tournament in 16 markets, in which gamers playing the title competed against each other for a chance to win a trip to Las Vegas to take part in the final tournament on Nov. 2. The final two grand-prize winners received a 2007 MazdaSpeed 3 vehicle; lesser prizes include GameStop and EB Games gift cards. The sweepstakes began October 1, 2006 and ended October 22, 2006.
