Description:

The National Football League partnered with Instagram to promote the 2019 NFL DRAFT. The NFL partnered with Instagram to reach millions of football fans and encourage them to engage with the annual draft event.

The promotion entailed  the NFL Instagram account having shoppable tags on pictures of players wearing customized bill hats that then allowed draft-viewers to buy those special-edition hats through Instagram.

Fans clicked on the shoppable tags on Instagram and were automatically re-directed to the online NFL Shop to buy the New Era-designed hats. The hats cost $30-$38.

Instagram did not pay the NFL to participate as a draft sponsor.
