20th Century Fox Filmed Entertainment and McDonald’s Corporation partnered to promote the release of RIO through a line of Happy Meal® toys featuring the characters from the movie. A total of ten toys were produced for the promotion, using the “Good choices to groove on” tagline. In addition, giant branded beach balls were mounted on the fast food restaurants’ roofs in 108 territories. The promotion ran Q1 2011.
