Rovio Entertainment Corporation, the creator of Angry Birds, entered into a long-term partnership with Moomin Characters and Gutsy Animation. 

The exciting partnership gave Rovio the rights to develop and publish games for any platform based on Moomin IP with those rights being exclusive for all mobile platforms. The collaboration with Moomin capitalized on Moomin's high brand awareness, particularly in Japan which represents one of the largest gaming markets in the world.

On the Gutsy Animations side, this partnership saw Rovio become a minority shareholder through an equity investment and convertible loan.
