Six Flags partnered with 20th Century Fox in 2013 to support The Three Stooges: The Movie. Six Flags hosted April Stooge Day, on April 1, 2012 in which participating parks hosted The Three Stooges look-alike contests providing guests a chance to win various giveaways.  As a special thrill for guests visiting Six Flags Magic Mountain, the first 500 Stooge look-alikes were eligible to participate in an early ride time event. The first 500 Stooge look-alikes also received a voucher to see the film after its release. Promotion elements included in-park brand messaging and event promotion on Six Flags TV, digital signage, in-park radio, and sixflags.com.
