Description:

NBC partnered with iTheatrics for the new show SMASH and created the fundraiser Make a Musical. This program helped fund the creation and performances of fine arts in schools across America. Tying in with the show, Make a Musical started by providing 20 first prize winners with the Music Theatre International Broadway Junior ShowKit. This included 30 actor scripts from the show, rehearsal CD?, musical materials, and choreographic materials. Also 10 grand prize winners were selected to receive entry to NBC? SMASH Make A Musical program. This included all the materials in the Music Theatre International Broadway Junior ShowKit as well as 2 professional development master classes, 2 teacher stipends, a technical theatre fund and a local project advisor. This promotion ran from January 6, 2012 to March 7, 2012.
