Sony Pictures teamed with Super League Gaming to promote the theatrical release of SPIDER-MAN: INTO THE SPIDER-VERSE. The amateur esports league hosted a series of competitions featuring a new Minecraft game mode based on the film. From Oct. 27 – Dec. 9, SLG hosted three different competitions for its Minecraft players. Players competed in a new Minecraft game mode created by SLG called Spider-Verse: Domination. Teams played on an in-game map of New York City, working to capture specific points on the map while other teams defend them. To take part in Minecraft City Champs, participants had to be 17 or under, have a PC, Mac, iOS, or Android device, and be located in one of our 16 cities. The winning city won a Nickelodeon Pizza Party, Spider-Verse prize pack, and the coveted title of City Champs
