CBS Corp. and Travelocity teamed up to promote THE AMAZING RACE with "Travelocity's AMAZING RACE Pit Stop Prize Giveaway". Contestants entered at www.cbs.com/travelocity. There were six different sweepstakes between September 28, 2008 and December 8, 2008. Each sweepstakes had one Grand Prize winner and one Secondary Prize winner. The winners were randomly selected at the end of each sweepstakes period. The Grand Prizes were trips for two to Belize (Sweepstakes 1), Cabo San Lucas (Sweepstakes 2), St. Thomas (Sweepstakes 3), Kauai (Sweepstakes 4), Punta Cana (Sweepstakes 5), and Anguilla (Sweepstakes 6). The Secondary Prize for all sweepstakes was an AMAZING RACE backpack filled with AMAZING RACE merchandise such as a DVD, hat, and apparel. The promotion was advertised with TV spots on CBS during THE AMAZING RACE. Also, the Travelocity Roaming Gnome has been featured on episodes of THE AMAZING RACE.
