Universal Pictures and Wonderful Pistachios kicked off the 2018 holiday season with a new integrated campaign leading up to the theatrical release of THE GRINCH. Dr. Seuss’ The Grinch, the embodiment of a killjoy, was the latest celebrity promoter of Wonderful Pistachios, with in-store bins, Grinch stand-ups in produce departments and commercials in the U.S. and four other countries, all timed with the debut of the film in theaters. Throughout the marketing campaign, the notoriously grumpy, anti-holiday Grinch went through an emotional roller coaster when he found himself enjoying something during the holidays: Wonderful Pistachios. The campaign included two new commercials created by The Wonderful Company’s in-house agency and animated by Illumination. The campaign also includes an online component, and a Times Square billboard.
