Walt Disney Studios partnered with McDonald's for a promotion celebrating the theatrical release of THE LION KING.

The promotion consisted of a Happy Meal program featuring toys celebrating THE LION KING and its characters. From July 16 through August 19, 2019, each Happy Meal featured THE LION KING-themed packaging, toys and a game piece.

The game piece allowed customers to partake in the Roar to Win Game in which fans could win a free trip for four to Disney World. Customers scanned the game piece either in the McDonald's app or at MagicAtMcD.com. Seven winners were selected to recieve the free trip to Disney World. In addition to that grand prize, 250 people received the chance to win a $25 gift card to use at the Disney store.
