20th Century Fox Filmed Entertainment together with Mtv & Scion partnered to promote the release of THE MAZE RUNNER with a contest on a special Mtv microsite. Fans were asked to submit videos explaining why they should be chosen to run a million dollar maze on Mtv. Contestants chosen received the opportunity to be on television on September 14th 2014 and compete on Million Dollar Maze Runner.

Prizes included a million dollars and a Scion-FR-S.
