Sony Pictures Entertainment partnered with Nyx Cosmetics for the theatrical release of THE MORTAL INSTRUMENTS. Nyx Cosmetics featured the film by creating a Parallel Worlds Box that included a six color smokey palette, the perfect pink blush, a neutral pink matte lip cream, black liquid liner, a vibrant jumbo eye pencil, and columizing mascara. Nyx Cosmetics also hosted an online sweepstakes and the winnerreceived an exclusive behind-the-scenes package for two. The package included a round trip to Los Angeles, hotel accommodation, airfare, a VIP studio tour of Sony Pictures Entertainment, a makeover from Nyx, $500 worth of Nyx Cosmetics, an exclusive $500 shopping spree at ULTA Beauty and a movie swag bag with a signed poster. The film and Nyx Cosmetics was also displayed in ULTA Beauty stores. The sweepstakes ran from May 23, 2013 through September 23, 2013. THE MORTAL INSTRUMENTS released in theaters August 23, 2013.
