Warner Home Video and Gillette Company partnered to promote the home entertainment release of THE POLAR EXPRESS through a "First Gift of Christmas" sweepstakes. One grand prize winner won $25,000 To enter, consumers logged on to duracell.com/polarexpress and filled out the online form for a chance to be entered into the instant win game for the day. One grand prize winner won $25,000, twenty five first prize winners won a Lionel POLAR EXPRESS train set valued at $280, and one hundred second prize winners won a Brio Polar Express holiday train set valued at $50. The sweepstakes began November 1, 2005 and ended January 3,2006.
