AMC Networks partnered with the American Red Cross for the third season of THE WALKING DEAD. The American Red Cross hosted a sweepstakes where contestants, ages 21 and over, had to visit www.amcgiveblood.com and fill out an entry form. One Grand Prize winner was selected to receive a three-day trip to a select WALKING DEAD set location. The trip included airfare, hotel accommodation and $500. the American Red Cross and AMC Networks also came together for a "Public Zombie Announcement", encouraging viewers to donate blood. The sweepstakes ran from September 24, 2012 through October 22, 2012. Season 3 of THE WALKING DEAD aired on AMC Networks October 14, 2012. http://www.amctv.com/sweeps/amcgiveblood/
