Ovation Brands and Genius Brands International teamed up to promote the new hit children's TV series THOMAS EDISON'S SECRET LAB (TESL) to explore the fascinating world of science during their weekly Family Nights with free, interactive, science-themed activities. The family-friendly promotion happened every Thursday night, from November 12 through December 31, 2015 at all participating Ryan's®, HomeTown® Buffet, Old Country Buffet® and Country Buffet® locations.

The weekly activities included:

  • "Why Do Things Float"
  • "Sweet Dreams/ PJ Party"
  • "Thanksgiving DVD Sweepstakes" (Each restaurant will give away a DVD)
  • "Cotton Candy Experiment"
  • "Genius Dress Up"
  • "What's Your Bright Idea?"
  • Thomas Edison Secret Lab Activity sheet

In addition to the weekly events, themed Thomas Edison Secret Lab "play sheets" were also distributed. Furthermore, more than 100 locations with video monitors premiered the show each week.
