In partnership with Hasbro, Paramount Pictures, and Universal Studios Theme Parks, Kmart shoppers and Shop Your Way members saw Transformers 4 come to life in stores and online. To generate excitement and drive sales during the key summer season, a first-ever sweepstakes was created to award a winner an all-expenses-paid trip to the winner's choice of either Universal Orlando Resort or Universal Studios Hollywood to meet the Transformers in person. Previous sweepstakes have offered winners a trip to either the Florida or California theme park, but this was the first time Universal ever promoted both destinations in a single campaign. Shop Your Way members could enter online or be automatically entered with each qualifying purchase of Transformers merchandise in Kmart stores or at Kmart.com/Transformers. The success of the program has provided the foundation for developing a 2015 promotional program in partnership with Universal Pictures and Universal Studios Theme Parks to celebrate the theatrical releases of two blockbuster films.
