Amazon.com, American Express and the TRIBECA FILM FESTIVAL partnered to promote the event through a ''Short Film Competition'' and a ''Screening Room Sweepstakes''. Amazon featured short films that consumers could rate which were submitted through the TRIBECA FILM FESTIVAL. Each rating was an entry to win a trip to New York City which included transportation, hotel accomocations, an Amazon gift certificate and admittance at the Tribeca Cinemas. The sweepstakes began April 15, 2005 to May 20, 2005.
