Streaming conglomerate Spotify partnered with Barilla to create 8 different Spotify playlists that equal cooking times for differing Barilla pastas.
The playlist names combined the top four most popular music genres in Italy with spaghetti, penne rigate, lingune, and fusilli pastas. The playlists are updated periodically in order to offer more variety to listeners.
Barilla's "Playlist Timer" campaign added a new, fun spin on home cooking. The partnership allowed people to listen to music while cooking with an unconventional timer. The brands intergration also encouraged people to stay upbeat and to stay home to cook.
